Excellent Journey Pictures was formed in 2003 by its principal members for the purpose of engagement in the production of motion pictures. Our goal is to produce films for theatrical release that engage, provoke and inspire the audience to enter into insightful discussion.

Excellent Journey Pictures has four principal members who possess successful experience in the motion picture industry.

Kathy Choiniere (An award winning Producer) has often been described as a very strong woman.  Although she is rarely overpowering, she knows what she wants and has the ability to figure out how to get it. She has also been described as a mother hen which is a reflection of her great love of surrounding herself with people and being genuinely concerned that their needs are met.

James Choiniere  - Producer/Director/Writer
 
Resume

James Choiniere is best described as a gentle giant. He has a gift for putting people at ease through the use of jokes and storytelling. His greatest love is to hear someone say “You make me laugh.”  Beneath that gentle exterior is a fiercely devoted husband and father and more importantly, director. His attention to detail is incredibly evident in the shining performances that he is able to pull from his actors.

Nominated for "Best Editing" at the 2006 and 2007 - 168 Hour film Festival.

Josiah Choiniere  - Actor/Producer
 

Josiah Choiniere, with many facets to his character, is an unforgettable personality.  His size can be intimidating, but it’s his heart and great sense of humor that will keep him at the forefront. As with most people, Josiah has a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde aspect to his inner self. He can be your best friend or your worst enemy. As such you might see him as a fierce warrior or a reserved gentleman.  It’s also evidenced by the women in his life who are constantly amazed by his devotion to making sure they are treated like women should be treated – with love and romance.  His passion for what he loves is always evidenced in his drive, hard work, and commitment to excellence. 

Josiah, born in the early eighties spent much of his youth in a nomadic type of existence – the son of an Air Force mechanic. He moved several times before junior high school.  His life was dotted with history making experiences such as tearing down part of the Berlin Wall while living in Germany, to the heart-wrenching experiences of his father serving during war-time, and his sister’s suicide attempt.

Dannah Choiniere  - Producer's Assistant/Lay Chaplain
 

Dannah Leigh rounds out the Excellent Journey Pictures team in what many would call the most important position in the company. With her talent for details and her fantastic gift of gab, she is the perfect Producer’s assistant.  A lay person in the ministry, Dannah's greatest assest on set will be to offer her time and compassion for prayer and counsel.
